Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Power TTS Twitch extension and the powertts.xyz website and dashboard (together, the "Service"). By activating or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Power TTS is

Power TTS lets Twitch viewers use Bits to send text-to-speech messages that are read aloud on a participating streamer's stream through the streamer's broadcasting software. Viewers choose a voice and optional effects; streamers choose the Bits amount, which effects are available, a cooldown, and whether messages are reviewed before they play. Messages are intended as lighthearted, temporary entertainment.

2. Relationship with Twitch

Power TTS is a third-party extension built on the Twitch platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Twitch. Your use of Twitch, your Twitch account, and Bits is governed by Twitch's own Terms of Service and policies. Bits are a virtual item provided and managed by Twitch — all Bits balances, transactions, and any refunds are handled solely by Twitch under Twitch's terms. Power TTS does not process payments and does not issue or control refunds.

3. Eligibility

You must meet Twitch's minimum age and eligibility requirements to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet those requirements and that your use complies with Twitch's terms and all applicable laws.

4. Message content and moderation

The text of a message is written by the viewer who submits it and is converted to speech automatically. Streamers control the Bits amount, the available voices and effects, and whether the moderation queue is enabled. When the moderation queue is on, each message waits for the streamer or their moderators to approve or skip it before it plays. Streamers are responsible for the content they choose to make available to their audience and for reviewing messages when moderation is enabled.

5. Streamer responsibilities

  • You decide the Bits amount, which effects are available, the cooldown, and whether moderation is on, and you can disable the panel at any time.
  • Messages play on your own stream through the browser source you add to your broadcasting software. You are responsible for running it in an environment where this content is appropriate for you and your audience.
  • You are responsible for keeping your content and channel compliant with Twitch's rules while using the Service.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including submitting prohibited, harmful, or abusive content, or attempting to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it, or to use it to harass, deceive, or violate the rights of others. We may suspend or remove access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms or Twitch's policies.

7. Availability

The Service depends on Twitch, your internet connection, third-party speech services, and your browser source running in your broadcasting software. Messages can only play while that source is connected. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Power TTS and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Because Bits are managed entirely by Twitch, any dispute regarding Bits should be directed to Twitch.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
